Random Tuesday Thoughts (I hate winter)
Ahhhh….Tuesday.
I wanted to post my Thoughts last week but I was visiting Martha Stewart in NYC. Took home a tree (yep), cookies and glitter-along with some great new friends. I am madly in like with Beth Feldman at Role Mommy. She is the hardest working, most dedicated Mommy Blogger out there.
Not that I’m not hard working or dedicated, but this woman blows my mind. She is so KIND and GIVING. Her goal in life is to help promote us bloggers and help us out, and she in truly an inspiration to me.
Wii Mommies is back! WOO! Sorry it took so long. I went offline to take care of some stuff and between traveling and some minor complications, it took longer than I expected. We’re back and better than ever though. I’ll announce details about the Twitter Party we’re having after the New Year. I can’t BELIEVE the giveaways we already have lined up. I’m beside myself with joy.
I feel like ass, physically. To travel from the beautiful southern weather to the non-stop blizzard action in Syracuse, NY has kicked my arse. I remember when I lived here I always thought my voice was nasally, now I know why. It’s because my sinuses are always plugged when I’m here.
I was driving in my mothers car yesterday to get wings from the local bar up the street (Yay, Wallys! It’s like Cheers, only less Classy) and two things happened-
First, the “oldies” radio station played Snoop Dogg ‘Drop It Like Its Hot’ (“if the bitch get an attitude, pop it like its hot”) and followed it immediately with Billy Joel ‘Piano Man’. THIS is what the generations of today consider oldies. I threw up a little in my mouth.
Secondly, upon entering Wallys, I noticed there was a van outside turned on with the wipers running, yet no one was inside. I just assumed I’d go in to get the wings from Gypsy and Dave and see someone else with a pickup order but no. There was about 4 people seated quite comfortably at the bar and none looked like they were much in a rush.
When I asked WTF that was about, I was told there’s a blizzard going on (there was) and that the car owner didn’t want to a) warm the car up and b)brush the snow off the windshield WHEN HE WAS DONE DRINKING. Yeah…..I Grabbed my wings (worth trekking to Wallys to get, but the only things I’d ever order from there-and only when Dave’s working) and hauled ass outta there.
So I’m about to think about showering (I won’t) and get dressed to take my hubby and kids to visit my daddy (Dr. B) at his house and then off to the B’Ville diner to eat gravy with gravy on top of it. It’s a good day for gravy.

Hmm, left the car running while he was drinking…the cost of gas must not be high enough.
Snoop Dogg is oldies?! Sh*t! I should just submit myself to a museum as a specimen, then.
