Fitness Friday – EA SPORTS Active And ME!
What a big month for me! I’ve been working hard to get a better body since I fell ill this past summer and had excellent motivation since I was trying to prepare to run a 5K on behalf of EA SPORTS Active here in Charlotte, NC.

I ran the Dowd YMCA 5K Walk/Run & Half Marathon on November 7th, 2009, and it was the perfect day. The sun was shining, the temperature perfect and the crowd was alive and energetic.
At 8:00AM, everyone took off. People were running, jogging and walking. I did a little of both. I signed myself up for the run/walk option, because with all my practicing, I realized just how out of shape I am and how little endurance I had in me!
I completed the 5K in what seemed like no time, considering the build up to it was huge for me and I expected it would be something that took all day.

After the race, I had to go home and pack for California. That’s right! I was headed to California to be a part of a commercial shoot for EA SPORTS Active! The segments I filmed may not necessarily end up in the commercial, but it was super exciting to be on the set and to see how commercials are made.
From this point on, I’m going to give actors WAY more credit. I stood under those hot lights for hours on end, having to be cautious of my posture, clothing and look the entire day. You can see the entire album of pictures I’ve collected so far on my EA SPORTS Active Facebook Fan Page but my all time favorite picture taken of me is when I actually had a break in the morning. It couldn’t have captured me any better-

Cell phone open, laptop on and a smile on my face. No matter where you find me, you’ll most likely find me in that position. I met some wonderful people and got special star treatment while I was there!
To complete my week of 5K’s and commercial shoots, I came home to find EA SPORTS Active More Workouts waiting for me! I tore into the package and immediately turned my Wii on. This product is AMAZING!
I have a lot of people talk to me about virtual fitness and what their goals are. I can say in all honesty that I’ve never seen a product like this one. If you’re looking to burn calories and get a fitness routine that will tone, shape and sculpt your body quickly, you can’t do better than EA SPORTS Active More Workouts. No joke.
When I did my first 30 day challenge with EA SPORTS Active, my only wish was that it would focus more on abdominal’s, and that’s what this product does. It includes a warm up and cool down section, a targeted abdominal section and a new six week total body sculpting challenge to get you into shape.
I had lost eight pounds with my first challenge, which was only 30 days long and have since had a hysterectomy and can feel my body changing. This six week challenge couldn’t have come at a better time. By starting the challenge today, I’m getting a head start keeping my body healthy for the upcoming holiday season and my goal for the new year is to fulfill our original tag line, “New Year, New You!”, used by the Wii Mommies when we first launched our site last year.
I hope that by the end of this challenge as we begin 2010, I have a renewed sense of strength and spirit, along with a flat stomach and smoother thighs. I just have to keep reminding myself and others that no goal can’t be reached without determination, so you have to stay true to yourself. EA SPORTS Active More Workouts helps you set those goals by programming the workout your body needs to challenge yourself over a six week period and all you have to do is show up and do it!
Stay focused, stay determined and you WILL achieve your goals in time for the new year. EA SPORTS Active More Workouts is available to the public online and in stores now and in just a few minutes every day, you can allow yourself to have that extra helping of stuffing at Thanksgiving, because you know you’ll be working those calories off and having fun while you do it!
