Thanksgiving, Anxiety, Pooping And Other Random Tuesday Thoughts
This is the best week of the year. There are only a few holidays I can tolerate, and even fewer that I like but there is one I love. Thanksgiving. I LOVE THANKSGIVING.
Not because I’m thankful for all the wonderful things in my life. Not because I’m blessed with family and friends. It’s the food. I love it for the food.
There is no better place to read a book than on the toilet.
I am the worlds pickiest eater. I dread holidays where they’re serving ham (Easter) or seafood (It’s how Polish people rock Christmas Eve) but Thanksgiving. Oooh…
I’ve been talking about poo A LOT lately. I’m a fan of pooping, because it makes me feel skinny. Not like “I’m going to eat four pizza’s and a handful of laxatives” skinny, but I always feel like I’m giving myself a nice little workout whenever I drop one down.
We’re going to our neighbor’s house for Thanksgiving, since we’re all from out of town and most of us go away for Christmas, we all do Thanksgiving together. There will probably be about 30 people there including kids, so we all have to bring quite a bit of food. I’ve signed up for scalloped potatoes, cookies and ham. I’ve gotten some great ham recipe’s from a lot of you, so thank you very much. I figure if I cook it wrong, I’ll never know the difference since I don’t eat ham.
My little man is ADORABLE. I don’t usually put videos up, but he’s starting to say words and some of them are “Babci” and “Dzaidziu”, Polish for Grandma and Grandpa. I got him saying it and had to share it with everyone -
Life is like a roll of toilet paper. When it seems full you bunch it up but towards the end you try to use it one square at a time

I try to be thankful year round. On Turkey Day, it’s all about binge eating. Yum.

I love Thanksgiving for the food also! Yes, it’s nice to see family but the whole point of Thanksgiving for me is the wonderful, fantastic food.

I have a very irregular pooping schedule, so I always feel better when I’m able to drop a load. (Yeah, something you wanted to know, right).

I had a good laugh at your discussion of poops! When I was a little girl, over 50 years ago now, I loved to stay at my Grandma Cora’s house. We would always eat fried campfire sausages (from a can)boiled potatoes and a side bowl of cold tomatoes. I was a picky eater, at home, however when Grandma made it – it was great. Anyway she would tell me stories about her growing up and how she played on an all-girls hockey team – their uniforms were skirts and button-up-the-back white blouses! She had many other great stories and I never tired of hearing them over and over. HOWEVER once the meal was over she would always talk bowels and did I have regular bowel movement and bowel movements were so important etc. I absolutely hated it – I would get all embarrassed and try to change the subject. So as I read your BLOG it brought back all the happy times I spent with my grandma and made me think how nowadays kids would never flinch at a ‘bowel’ conversation! Thanks for the memories.
Pooping is awesome! LOL! Except of course when your poop is too hard or too loose……well, you brought it up! hehe
I’m with you on the toilet book. My hubs calls that place “the library” anyway.

I too seriously love Thanksgiving. Not only because of being Thankful but OMG the food is soooo good and sooooo much of it.
Love the video, one day I will figure out how to do that too. Although, I will also have to find something interesting to record. HA! I’ll have fun with that one.

I’m not a fan of ham, either, but hubby likes it so I make him wait until Christmas. 
It is funny how you feel so much skinnier after a nice healthy poop!! LOL!! Hubby is an avid reader in the bathroom – I just want to get in, get done and get out.
I’ll soak in a nice bubble bath for a good hour reading, though…
