Random Tuesday Thoughts – South Charlotte Confidential

What’s up party people?  I’m back!  I had some sort of server crash yesterday so I was MIA and to be honest I was a bit exhausted so I didn’t feel like writing anyway.  I’m still beat and have an absolute shit-ton to do to catch up but I wanted to join in on the random because I’m fairly sure in the few years we’ve been blasting it out I’ve never missed a day!

I’d like to introduce you all to a new blogger and good friend of mine (the one who helped me with my panic attack at work I wrote about the other day).  Her name is Jessalyn and she is the proud new owner of South Charlotte Confidential, “The good times and unfortunate events of my not-so confidential life”.  She’s uber new to the game but is already kicking ass.  She’s joining in on the random today and if you comment on over there she’ll comment back and for all you EC droppers out there she’s jumped in on that as well so pay her a visit and tell her I said hi.  We’re still working on themes and design but the content is quality.  I’m confident you’ll not only like what she has to say but you’ll like her and will make a brand new friend out in this bloggy world of ours.

Looks like the world is ending.  An earthquake hit near DC and tiny rumblings were felt all the way down here around Charlotte!  That and the approaching hurricane hitting NC makes me wonder if the powers that be have some sort of problem with our state.  I say leave us the fuck alone, we’ve got enough bullshit to deal with.

I’m a miserable wretch today.  I was up late doing miscellaneous bullshit but had a quality conversation and I ended up sleeping like shit.  The doc put me on a new sleeping pill that’s only knocking me out for four hours.  I need at least seventeen to be happy and if I get up before noon I want to destroy everything.  I tweeted and Facebooked this morning that I need to remember to not say “Fuck you” when people say “Good morning” and I also need to get myself a baseball bat for the next time a neighbor decides 8AM is a great time to mow the lawn.  I get wanting to beat the heat but I swear on all that is holy if that shit happens again I’m going to go balls-out on that mo-fo.

The radio show is tonight.  Listen in live at 9PM EST.  We’ve lost a host but have a special guest joining us tonight.  Courtney and I are excited to welcome Acadia from SuperficialGallery.com who will be calling in to talk to us about immortalized songs.  Be it “Dream Weaver” from “Waynes’s World” or us needing more cowbell from the skit on Saturday Night Live, there has got to be at least a dozen songs out there that we’ll hear that will take us all back to the same place and time.  I love hearing “In The Air” and watching everyone around me do the drum solo.  I love it so much Courtney and I got hammered and did it ourselves in Asheville.  If you missed it, click here and a new window will pop up for you to watch and laugh at.  We’d love for you to join us live in the chat room tonight at 9 to help us remember the moments that immortalized a song and feel free to call in to talk to us by dialing (646) 595-4835.  Hope to see you there!  We’re awesome!
