Random Tuesday Thoughts- Can’t Get My Mind Around It

randomtuesday

I have been writing non-stop all day and my mind is currently blank.

I can’t believe how much I love my job.  I mean, I get to write whatever I’d like on a daily basis and have the honor of being a part of the Wii Mommies website and forums, so I get to do cool things like tonight’s Mario Kart race, Challenge my dog to Nintendo’s Personal Trainer: Walking and join EA SPORTS at Blogher 09!  For serious!

I love this job because I don’t A) consider it a job and B) have to drive anywhere.

I remember when I first met my husband, I was all dreamy and in love but had to take a flight to some foreign country for work.  I sat staring out the plane at the night sky, crying from my loss of love and found the brightest star and wondered if he was looking at the same star.

Saturday night, I told him this story.  He looked at me, smiled and said “Nope.  Sure wasn’t.  I don’t look at stars, I’m usually sleeping.”

What a romantic.

I returned my library books the other day to find that my 2 books had raked up $5 in overdue fines.  I almost burst into tears and asked if being 32, having a hysterectomy and pneumonia count for a “get out of jail free card” and they waived the fine.  I guess near-death experiences are good for something!

I served Ryan up some baked beans at the fourth of July party and he wistfully said to me, “Ah…baked beans.  The gift that gives once.”  Call him butter, because he is on a roll!

I am so super stressed it’s horrible.  Like I said, I’m planning for Blogher, the Wii Mommies Twitter party and I’m trying to get my svelte figure all sveltey again so I’m challenging my dog to a Personal Trainer: Walking competition (he’s winning and no, it doesn’t give him extra steps, it actually knows he’s a dog).  I’m also flying to Syracuse Wednesday with my mother and two children so I have one day to pack for my 3 week trip, Blogher and get all my doctor appointments in so I am clear to travel.

I do have to say, I’m a totally different woman now.  I honestly did fear for my life for a minute there and this second chance at life has made me appreciate the fact that I’m living it.  I appreciate my friends, family and beer I drink even more now that I’m (relatively) healthy and androgynous.

Hey, wanna win stuff?  I’m giving away some killer Harry Potter video games and Hoover is giving us a vacuum as the Twitter party grand prize.  The only place you need to be to win is online, so I say head on over to the main post talking about the party and make all the stress and xanex worth the hours we’ve put into it.

Keely, I wanna kiss your face.  Everyone else should, too, so head on over to The Un Mom and get your random on.
