Random Tuesday Thoughts – Before The Meds Kick In

I got a new phone today.  Well yesterday since I’m still awake at four in the morning.  It’s a Droid 3 and it’s BADASS.  I can talk and it texts what I’m saying so I don’t have to text anymore (which is what I asked for a few weeks ago henceforth making the future NOW) and it has a full slide-out keyboard with a full row for numbers so I don’t have to hit the alt button and I won’t kill anyone texting and driving so yay.

I was in a zone waiting for Bryan to sync up my email accounts to my phone and got all excited thinking I was watching some girl-on-girl action in the mall but it turned out it was a goth chick making out with an uber girly looking goth wannabe dude.

“If you were to equate going to a RUSH concert to sex it’s like losing your virginity but if you were to put that live concert onto a CD it would be like masturbating in a closet, it just doesn’t quite count.  You need to see everything and do everything to get the full experience.” – Tim on music comparisons.

He also said my sponsor is like Mr. Miyagi because you can tell he’s trying to not only teach people to stay sober but he’s trying to get every individual to better themselves by helping with life management.  He’s not in it for money or sex and he’s kind of a rebel because he isn’t a very popular guy because he marches to the tune of his own drum but I’m totally the Karate Kid so that’s awesome.

I’M GOING TO IRELAND BITCHES!

I’m also going to try to hit up an AA meeting there because everyone seems to think that would be a beautiful irony to see Irish people trying to stay sober or something.

I had something else and I can’t remember what but I was all like “Fuck!  This is some funny shit, I need to remember it for my RTT!”

OH! Guess what?  I’m headed to Galviston, TX to stay on a docked Carnival ship, the Magic, where I’m going to get free food (and decline free drinks) while I listen to Maroon 5 play on board the ship!  Did I forget to mention that?  Hmm?  Did I?

Heh.

I know.  My life is either pure shit or it’s undeniably awesome.

My sponsor said he knows first hand that the Irish locals like to piss on the Blarney Stone so I am to avoid kissing or touching it at all costs.

Please don’t ask me to bring you something, I can’t afford it and if I bring for one I have to bring for all so I’d rather just be a douchebag who says no to everybody and saves money over being a douchebag who says no to some and loses money.  It’s just not going to happen.  You can order anything you’re looking for online.  I might go to Ireland, see a shirt then buy it online when I get home so I don’t have to worry about carrying it on the plane.

I’m still working out what to pack.  I’m bringing boots and skinny jeans and leggings since it’s going to most likely be raining and cold but I’m assuming my feet will hurt since my boots are heels but I also know I’ll be in A LOT of pictures and so I’ll suffer in the name of vanity.

I got a mini monkey pillow pet for my flight because my Monkey is too big to carry on with my bag and purse.  I’ve named him Blue because when I move him I make “Blue’s Clues” sounds.

Just Googled to find out that an Olive is a fruit.

My phone does this other cool thing where I can zip my fingers all around the keys without lifting them and it figures out what words I’m typing.  I prefer talking into it or using the real slide-out keyboard.  I like that it’s a little bulky, my BB was too because I had two protective covers on it.

I’m clearly on the phone with Tim since I’ve referenced him a few times.  He’s one of the only people I know besides my AA buddies that’s awake around now and he came to a meeting with me tonight and for some reason can’t stop referencing Steve Martin and his age.

I bought three Beatles tee’s and a Beatles hoodie today.  I went shopping for sweaters for my trip (found some) and I saw those items and couldn’t resist.  The Beatles are my second favorite band following Led Zeppelin and before The Eagles. They didn’t have shirts for the other two.  I’ve been having a hard time deciding who else ranks up there.  Peter Gabriel and Alice In Chains are up there.  It’s a think piece.

The “Across The Universe” movie and soundtrack is amazing.  Pretty sure I’ve mentioned that but if you even remotely dig The Beatles, you need to see that.

This is me signing off I have to get a blood infusion in a few hours, play with my midgets and pack for my flight.  I’m going to do my best to blog while I’m there but there’s a chance I won’t.  Make sure to follow me on Facebook to keep up with all the awesome!
