Turn The Tub Around & Win A Gift Pack From ICBINB & Momspective! – CLOSED

SO.  I don’t even know where to start.  It seems like ages ago, I was challenged to make my own “Turn The Tub Around” video, similar to the commercial made by actress Megan Mullally.  I’m always up for a challenge, so of course I couldn’t turn it down.

It wasn’t until the package arrived with the breakdown of the song, video of the signature move and details of the challenge that I panicked.  I. MEAN. PANICKED.

I am a Karaoke girl.  Some might say obsessed.  Most will, actually.  I watched this video and read these words and thought, “Yeah, I can do this!  I know the original song and think I’ve sang that while driving in the car.  Bring it!”.

I did.  I tried the best I could.  I’m the mother of two children so in order to do it in silence, I ran to my sons room and slid his crib out of the way.  His colors are navy and white so I thought it would compliment the “stage” and I put on a yellow shirt so I’d represent the brand.

Must have been seven times.  I had no idea who else was involved in this (until later, one of my Wii Mommies co-founders, Sarah Pinnix,  also made the finals!) and I didn’t know what kind of effort people were putting into their videos, but I thought I did a pretty good job.

Sure, I MAY have messed up the words a little and Dad, I KNOW I wasn’t as loud as I usually am, but I had guests over that day for a basketball game and believe it or not, I WAS SHY!

So the recordings were complete and I picked what I thought was my best effort and sent it on in.  I absolutely did NOT expect that a short while later, I’d be seen in this commercial that aired during American Idol!

From  I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter-

To ‘spread’ the fun around, select bloggers were challenged to recreate their own Turn The Tub Around videos and now consumers can watch and vote for their favorites for a chance to meet Megan Mullally in Hollywood and receive the star treatment. People can enter the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! Watch, Vote and You Could Win! Sweepstakes by visiting www.turnthetubaround.com January 12- April 30, 2010, viewing the new dance videos each week and voting for their favorites.

Five winners will be chosen at random to win the Grand Prize – a three-day, two-night trip for two to Los Angeles including a meet and greet with Mullally, a makeover, and dinner and tickets to a hit Hollywood show. Each time someone votes (one vote per day limit), they will become eligible to win the Grand Prize, as well as Instant Win Prizes including cooking.com gift cards ranging from $10 to $300 and Zumba® dance fitness DVD collections. There is a limit of one Instant Win Prize per person, per day and instant winners will be notified immediately onscreen.

The voting on my video is starting soon and you can head to  www.turnthetubaround.com to cast your vote for the weeks match up, including mine.  To encourage you to get over there and vote *for me*, we’re going to have a little giveaway of our own on this site!

Momspective and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter will be giving away a package including a serving platter, spatula, $25 AMEX Gift card and two I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter recipes.  Here are some things you can do to win.  Remember, leave one comment for each action taken.  Each action counts as one entry (so if you follow me on Twitter and subscribe to my RSS, leave TWO separate comments.  If you put them in one, it only counts as one). The winner will be chosen from a random comment left using Random.org.  Contest ends Friday, February 11, 2010 at 6:00 PM EST.  Winner will be notified on this site and by email within 48 hours. For a full list of rules, read this. Good luck!
