Fitness Friday-My First Week of My EA SPORTS Active Challenge!

Okay, I’m about to do something I never thought I’d do-I’m posting a picture of myself in a bikini.  I actually recorded it and pulled a still out of the recording, so it’s kind of grainy, but at the end of my 30 day challenge, I’ll vlog myself in the same bikini and see how I’ve changed.

As you can see, I don’t look too bad.  Partly because I pulled my favorite shot out and partly because I DID lose 60 pounds.  I’m currently at 143 (having gained some of my lost weight back because I totally slacked over the holidays), and you can see that my arms need toning, my stomach flattening and there’s NO WAY I’m tossing in a rear shot unless I see some serious change in that rear of mine.

This first week has been AMAZING.  I’m truly impressed with the EA Sports Active product.  So far, I’ve worked out four times and have had two rest days (the pre-programmed 30 day challenge has you work out two days on and one day off) and today is my second day off and I’m STILL feeling the workout!

EA Sports Active starts you out at the level you choose, and I’m choosing the hardest level because I’m super determined and it’s working EVERYWHERE.  I can still feel it in my thighs and arms but it’s not an annoying painful ‘burn’, it’s a wonderful “I can feel my parts moving” stretch that is bringing me more energy, a better attitude and general sense of well being.

There is no cheating this game.  Not like anyone would try to cheat on a diet lol, but everyone has played a workout video and taken a little longer break than they should have.  This product knows if you’re not putting your leg up high enough, it knows if  you’ve taken that extended break.  You literally have your very own personal trainer in a box, without the self consciousness that having a real person next to you might bring.

I’ve been posting my progress on my other website, The Wii Mommies, where you can catch my Vlogs of my day to day progress and also read up on the other Wii Mom’s setbacks and success.  You can head to our Forums and reach out for support or offer your support to others who are in our position of wanting to get fit but don’t know where to start.

We’ve added sections for personal topics such as possible reasons behind our weight gain, stress in our family life or other reasons why we might find ourselves in the fridge as well as sections that talk about Virtual Fitness and Diet programs like Weight Watchers and the diet I’m following with this EA Sports Active 30 day Challenge, Bob Greene’s Best Life Diet.

I encourage all of you with blogs to participate in Fitness Friday with the Wii Mommies each week.  It’s simply a way to hold ourselves accountable for our actions as we strive to reach our fitness goals.  The Wii Mommies are here for all of you, and by writing something up on your website and linking using the linking system we have on the Wii Mommies site, you’re enabling all our readers the opportunity to connect with you and find the inspiration they need to join us in their own personal fitness quest.
