Fitness Friday-EA SPORTS Active Retreat!

new-fitness-friday-button-copy

Well I’m taking a quick break at the EA SPORTS Active retreat and all I can say is this game is AMAZING!  We watched a live demo and got to play a little for ourselves and I worked up a sweat in just 14 minutes and my legs are feeling it right now!

We woke to a wonderful breakfast on the ocean (check out the story and slide show on Whrrl for great pictures by Jessica Smith a.k.a @JessicaKnows on Twitter), then moved into hair and makeup.  I wasn’t thrilled with having my hair pushed back, but they wanted it out of my face for the taped interview I had to do shortly after.  Here’s a pic that @DaddyClaxton from Dad’s Center took of me-

After I gave my interview, I went to test out the game during some down time.  Holy Moly, it works you!  The fitness possibilities are endless!

There are so many games that get your blood racing and heart pumping, time flew by as I played!  There are different workouts for different fitness levels with cardio and strength for the upper and lower body.

Following that was lunch that was positively DEVINE.  I know we’re talking fitness here but they had this chocolate caramel dessert that made me melt.  I’m meeting and hanging out with some inspiring people and we’re all having a wonderful time together!

We’re on a short break and I had to run back to tell you all how amazing and surreal it all is!  I’m trying to update on Twitter but my cell is acting up so you can look for routine updates on Facebook throughout the weekend and on Twitter and Momspective when I can.

Having a blast and I can’t wait to share more about this wonderful virtual fitness game with you!

That really inspires me to get myself in shape… have been thinking about it but not sure where to start… LOL, maybe Santa Barbara would be a great place…

It’s either cold or raining most of the time in Missouri, so maybe the Wii and the EA game would help, willing to give it try…

Will follow your challenge and “just do it” for the health of it I guess…
