Anyone Got Time For Some Fantasy?

Fantasy FOOTBALL.

…Pervs.

I am SO excited right now. I have once again created the Momspective Fantasy Football Training League on Yahoo (this time) and tweeted and Facebooked it for all to join in.  All you have to do is head on over to Yahoo and register or sign in with your Yahoo ID if you have one after clicking the link that will get you there. The point of this is to help women (and men) who either know nothing about football or know football and want to learn how to play fantasy football.  It all dates back to THIS POST (click that please).

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF LEAGUES TO SIGN UP FOR.  REGISTRATION ENDS 9/7/2010 AT 11:59PM  THE AUTO-DRAFT (will explain on blog post) WILL TAKE PLACE 9/8/2010 -

SINGLE PLAYERS (NEW STUDENTS) -

What I’ll do is send out messages to all members of the league with updates and tricks and tips and all that happy bullshit so set your email settings in your team to allow messages from me.  I’ll be posting a weekly summary on this site just talking about who’s doing what on on each team (so make sure you have a cool team name because I’m going to be talking about you via your team name not your real name) and I’m going to have the comment section below each post so you can all smack talk each other and get into the game. Fucking with each other is the best part (and from what I’ve been told, there’s been a little heat in the bedroom since wives are making an effort to learn something their spouse loves and doing this together gives you more to talk about than just work and kids so GO GET LAID! WOO!).

If any of you in the leagues ever want to guest post or toss me a quote with what you’re learning and how this is changing your life and/or relationships, just click on the contact button which will shoot me an email or email me at Julie@momspective.com to let me know. I’m all about the candid posts, swearing is allowed and feel free to smack talk the shit out of each other in the comments of my posts or anywhere we’re all around (in the league forum, Facebook, Twitter – really do it up.  FEEL THE FOOTBALL! LOVE THE GAME! The true core of football and fun of fantasy football is the release of aggression and joy of making fun of the teams and players throughout the season.

For instance, Tony Romo and Tom Brady can suck my balls.

I promise you, this is going to be fun. Football is what you make of it. By playing fantasy football, you’re not only learning about the sport, you’re making it so you’re involved in more than just one team. While my loyalty is to the Panthers alone by playing fantasy football each year I’m constantly interested in the other various games played each week, because I want to see what my players are up to.

Playing fantasy football is also AWESOME for my relationship with my husband and friends. It’s cool to be a chick who can talk sports. It’s fun. It’s a “man’s game” (bullshit) and let me tell you, it impresses the hell out of a group of guys when they’re all talking the sport and you chime in with not only your opinion, but the ability to know what it is your talking about (beyond who it is they may be dating or if you like the color of their jerseys).

So I encourage all of you to join. While the basic training section is primarily for women, I know there are some men out there who want to learn and I’m not a dick, so you can join too. Just be prepared to have a woman kick your ass.

For all of you who were getting the hang of it over the past few years, it’s time to challenge your husbands.  Don’t be scared ladies, you can kick their ass!
