When my firstborn was about one, he slipped and chipped his front tooth on the coffee table in the living room.  It wasn’t too big a deal to us since we figured it’d be falling out at some point but now that he’s five, that tooth is looking like it could use a filing or something just in the one spot.

He says it’s starting to come loose and is looking forward to his visit to the Tooth Fairy and he brushes regularly (he loves it – best nighttime stall tactic before bed ever) but his father and I are still worried that maybe there’s a cavity that would shoot up into his gums and cause him pain.

We take him for checkups every six months and he knows how to floss (we help) and like I said, loves to brush but when I was offered a chance to review and giveaway for EnvoraKids I was pretty eager to check it out.

Sometimes times I have super good luck (because I’m awesome).  I was just saying how I wished I had a second humidifier because I recently had my tonsils out and my doctor recommended that I use one to help heal my throat but my two and a half year old suddenly caught that nasty cold that has everybody coughing.  About two days later, I received an email from Vicks asking if I’d like to host a review and giveaway of their new Starry Night Cool Moisture Humidifier and asked if I’d also like to review the Braun Thermoscan Exac Temp Ear Thermometer while I’m at it and with Josh being sick I’d said you bet’cha!

And so they arrive (rather quickly, I might add – THANK YOU!) and I took the humidifier out of the box.  I’ve used other humidifiers before and I was a bit nervous because sometimes they’re tough to put together with a billion parts and filters but this one assembled in about two minutes.  My only problem was that I filled it up downstairs and carried the full tank up to the second floor and down the hall and if you know me, I’m not the most graceful person so I got a teensy bit wet. What can I say?  I love Chili’s and Chili’s loves me.  I have to tell you a story.  I’m about to launch a super sweet giveaway where I’m going to give two winners two cards each so they can use a $20 card for themselves and they can offer the other $20 card to a friend to use.  I also had the honor of getting two cards sent to me.  And so I went.

It was my best friends birthday, I was amped up about being able to provide a kick ass birthday meal for free and I LOVE Chili’s two for $20 where you can share an appetizer and two full size entrees for just $20. (It gets better. Click to continue reading…)

Okay so my baby making days are over since I lack the reproductive organs necessary but it seems that every time Macy’s contacts me to do a review and/or giveaway for their First Impressions gift sets I have a friend or relative who is about to or just had a baby.

This time around it was my next door neighbor and I scored BIG TIME when I showed up at the baby shower with this awesome trio.  She’s having a boy and instead of getting her a newborn gift set, I opted for a 3-6 month set because I know she has tons of new baby apparel and I just thought this was as cute as can be.

MOM: Oh, we love it here!  We wanted to come anyway!  There’s no need for a gift (…gift is being unwrapped and *GASP!*) OH, JULIE!  Look at this!  Wow!  Would you look at this?  It’s BEAUTIFUL!  How did you do that?!  It’s BEAUTIFUL!  Oh, Al!  Look at this!  Isn’t it beautiful? (He agrees) It’s just great, I LOVE IT.  Boys, look at this!  Who is this?  It’s Jacob and Joshua!  That’s right!  It’s you!  Look how handsome my boys are!  What a wonderful picture!
