Random Tuesday Thoughts – Here’s To You, Carrie Thunderwood

Stacy

I thought that one up while I was peeing.

I just got home from work.  Over eight hours and I made exactly $40.  I think that was four tables.  I made a new friend (Hi John!), whittled an almond down to nothing, flossed my teeth in the bathroom and I pinched my finger getting my keys out of my bag and burst so my finger’s blue.

Oh and I had a burger at half off so that’s a treat.

You should have seen the treasure that walked in tonight.  I said she looked like a plumped up version of Carrie Underwood with her big blond hair and makeup but this chick was rockin’ short TIGHT shorts and a tiny little tee.  I wish I could take credit for the “Carrie Thunderwood” comment but I can’t, it was one of my co-workers and it made the time between 12:47-12:52AM seem less painful because it was a hearty laugh all around.

I don’t like laughing at other peoples expenses but we were desperate and it was good.

Show’s on today.  Look to the left and get some entries in for free shit.  I’m seriously just trying to pimp up my Facebook page and everyone’s all like “No effin way we hate liking Facebook pages” and I’m all like “Well I like everyone elses Facebook pages when I’m asked, I just ignore them after”.  You don’t have to pay attention to it, you can even immediately adjust it so no emails get sent to you, I just want big numbers so I can jack up my ad rates :)

I don’t lie to you, you’re my people.

Speaking of which I’d like to thank all of you who reached out to me with your kind words and support over the post I wrote Friday.  It took me an hour to write and about five hours to decide if I should publish it.  I didn’t think I’d get negative feedback but I’m sure there are people in my life who know me and didn’t know this and while they may not have been happy to read about it on my blog, this is where I let everything out.  It’s where I say the things I can’t necessarily say out loud so if you really want to know the real me this is where it’s at.  I talk about being bipolar, I talk about being sick and now I’m telling you I was raped.  I think the rape and the bipolar have a bit to do with each other, who knows (well my therapist does, I printed her out a copy to read at therapy tomorrow I’ll let you know what she thinks).

My main point in that post was to bring you closer to me, give a huge piece of me to the world and to hopefully make a difference.  I’ve already had emails of women telling me their stories and beautiful comments that have brought me to tears of both sadness and gratitude and I do feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.  I’ve been joking about wanting to talk about “Sexcapades” on here but I needed to get my history down before I could so you might understand why some of the stories I may tell will be slightly fucked up.

So yeah, pity me and just pimp my Facebook page.  All the cool kids have big like pages.  I don’t even know what to do with it.  I’m posting videos and pictures and I’m trying to bring you into my world beyond just photos and writing by talking to you (live if you call in!) and showing you video of me in action.  I’m creating the Momspective Reality web-a-thon and I’m so super awesome at promoting major brands shit and I’m really hoping I can promote my own or I’ll feel like a total douchebag loser.  I’m giving away the DS this month and next month I’m giving away $100 gift certificate to a sassy happy fun playtime sexy store.  I think I can go international with that one.  I wanted to with this one but the shipping costs are awful high for a game that’s retailed at $130.

I’m all woozy I took my sleeping pills.  I was shorted one (of the four I take, I just need a tranq dart to knock me in the jugular “Old School” style if I’m ever going to get proper sleep so we’ll see how tonight goes).

I think this is long enough.  If I stay up any later I’m going to start getting the munchies and I’ve worked out a new diet plan that’s going to make me svelte by the end of the month.  I miss my pool.  It’s been weeks.  I’m getting my ass up and over there first time tomorrow afternoon after I wake up.

Once again, my sincerest thank you goes out from the bottom of this pit of a heart I have because you brought me to tears and brought a piece of me I think I lost back to life.

Blogging rules.

    Hey Julie! :)

I do that too! I like a bunch of Facebook pages and then ignore it after.. :P I also want to make money from my blogs, so I am slowly learning the ropes, it’s not as easy to get big companies to advertise on blogs here in the Phils because most people still don’t know the blogosphere exists.. :P

I’m so sorry to hear about what happened to you, but I’m so proud of you for being able to talk about it. Love you Julie!

Count me in on that international contest you have coming up.. :D

Now that you mentioned a diet plan, I should mention about mine. There are 20 days since I started a diet of 1 day eat/1 day fast and I feel ok so far. I got this idea after I read some Budhist words of wisdom that mentioned humans need very little food to ..live. And fasting clears the spirit. I don’t encourage anyone to follow this diet but I thought I would share it with you :) . Kisses.

Your Carrie Underwood chick reminds me of a girl I was friends with back in high school. She used to wear these tiny leopard print shorts EVERYWHERE. Now I have to say that she was not a size 2, which is what I think was needed to look good in these…but that’s only the beginning of this story.

So one day we’re on a girls road trip and we pull over at a gas station because she REALLY has to go to the bathroom. She comes out and starts walking back to the car and a number of people start turning around to look at her. Now she’s thinking she must be looking really hot in her leopard shorts, (no lack of confidence there) so she slows down so she can really strut her stuff. Finally we turn around to see what the commotion was -(spoiler alert – the next part’s not pretty) – and there’s Chrissy looking really pleased with herself doing the “don’t hate me because I’m beautiful” walk all the way back to the car. And blowing in the wind with each step she took is this little string that would never be seen if she had been wearing normal shorts – but in these mega-tiny leopard shorts you couldn’t miss it. She gets to the car and says – wow I had no idea these shorts looked that good. And being the wonderful friends we were, we replied yeah, maybe you should wear them more often.

Moral of the story…I am without a doubt going to hell when I die.

Random question – a couple times I’ve noticed you saying something about a post being long enough or having a certain number of words. Do you have a goal for how long your posts are or is there some other reason for thinking about the length…?

    Julie Maloney Reply:

Posts that are too short may not contain enough information to keep a reader interested and posts that go on and on will make the reader skim instead of read so I like to keep it to about four or five paragraphs around the 1000 word count. I just think it looks better.

  • I’ve got some catching up to do, obviously! ;)

One of these days I’m going to drive down there and kiss you on the lips. ;)
