Passin’ the buck (okay, it’s not a buck, it’s an award)
Yeah…check ME out. My girl Lindsay over at the Glamorous Housewife LOVES ME! It feels SO GOOD to be loved. Especially since I feel like I made an arse out of myself on the Classy Closet Radio Show yesterday. I know I had those gals laughing, but I have major ‘everyone hates me’ anxieties I can’t shake. I swore I wasn’t going to listen to the show but I did-about three times. I was pleased that I didn’t sound as much like Janice from Friends as I expected I would with my sinuses the way they are, but I agonized over everything I said. I have a history of experiencing diarrhea of the mouth. In fact, I should give my mouth Immodium before I go calling into a radio show.
These girls were generous enough to name my site as one of their favorite sites on Wednesday, which boosted my ego up about 50 notches so I thought I’d give a call in Friday. The problem with that was that since I was in my car when the show started, I had no idea what they were talking about when I did. I sat in my car in shock that I grew a big enough pair to even call them, then I just started talking-and talking. I think I talked for 10 minutes. God bless these girls for laughing at what I said and making me feel so welcome.
Anyway, after listening for the third time, I picked apart everything I said and over-thought it, assuming that I somehow offended someone. Given enough time, I’m sure I will. I value my readers so much, I fear that my sometimes carefree (careless) attitude might turn people off, but you guys keep coming back, so I must be doing something right!. So when I signed in this afternoon and saw that Lindsay give me some love, a good amount of my insecurities faded away. No doubt they’ll return, but I sit here in my Jammie’s at three in the afternoon eating Lucky Charms out of the box satisfied in knowing I am loved in this bloggy world.
So with that, I shall pass the award buck on to some smokin hot lady friend bloggers who gave me a chance and let me spew word vomit over the airwaves without making me feel like the a-hole I am.
*Regarding Kadi at A Womb at the Inn (Sane), I have to say she absolutely kicks my ASS in every way. This woman, like all three women who host the Classy Closet, is smokin’ hot. She’s also a MOTHER OF SEVEN. SEVEN. SHE GAVE BIRTH SEVEN TIMES. TO SEVEN CHILDREN.

Oh, Teresa. It’s like you were there with me when I was in that dang play…I was just thinking of that play today. I remember at one rehearsal in high school I had to practice my solo and my voice cracked and the kid that was playing Conrad laughed. I was so humiliated. “Did she really get pinned, did she kiss him and cry…” FLASHBACK!
