Put It Up On The Block

I was researching how to best explain how to use the Trading Block for your ESPN Fantasy Football league, and I found this YouTube video that explains it really well, so figured I’d put this up instead!

Instructions compliments of Ehow.com

  1. First, log in to your ESPN fantasy football account.

This should be quite simple. Simply log in like you usually do to check your team.

  2. Next, identify your needs and what you are willing to give up.

If you are in need of a running back and are plenty deep at wide receiver, then it is pretty obvious that you can afford to give up a WR for a RB. It is important to look at your team to realize what you can afford to give up.

  3. After that, take a look around the league by searching the rosters of the other teams.

You’ll want to look for teams that are stacked at the position you need. That will help the chances of them giving up a player.

  4. When you are ready to propose a trade, click on the tab “My Team” at the top of your ESPN fantasy football page.
  5. Next, you will click on “Trading Block” which is right underneath the previous tab that you clicked.
  6. Find the team that you would like to make a trade with and click the link “Propose Trade”.Also on this screen, you have the option to put guys that you are willing to give up on the trading block. This means that other teams will see that he is available and can contact you for a trade.
  7. Next, select which players from each team would be included in this proposed trade.

This can be done simply by selecting the box next to the players name.

  8. Finally, click the button “Finalize Trade” at the bottom of the screen.

The other team will be notified and you will hear back shortly whether the trade was accepted or if they made a counter offer

What?! I CAN’T pick Gandalf as Quarterback or bikini clad Jessica Biel as my Kicker? How can you call this Fantasy Football?
