Thursday 13: Thirteen Women I’d Go Gay For

Oh don’t get your panties in a bunch.  I was joking around with a friend and also made a comment on my dad’s Facebook status update and said “I’d go gay for a day for her!” and I thought it’d be fun to list the hottest 13 actresses (in no particular order).  Come on, I’m not alone here.  Just go with it people.

Gillian Andeerson (gotta be as Scully)

Gillian Anderson (gotta be Scully)

Elizabeth Banks

Random Tuesday Thoughts – I Hear Duct Tape Works

Holy fuck-tards.  You really don’t realize how good you have it until you’re brutally and painfully ripped away from it and dropped into sub zero temperatures where dozens of people are gathered around outside buildings smoking and saying how the fact that it’s currently twenty degrees makes it an “Indian Summer”.

I wonder if people are going to say that wasn’t politically correct enough and have me call it “Native American Summer”.

I got a CPAP mask so now I look like this guy-

except he has a better jaw line and creepy eyes.  That is what I look like when I go to bed at night for the next two weeks.  That’s when I go back to the doctor and tell him this mask is causing massive relationship issues.  Considering I’m STILL snoring only we’re adding to that back pain from not being able to move at night.   Say what you will, there is NO moving around in that, especially the way I move. That made sense. (more…)

Wow. I’m Back. Thank You SO MUCH!

I can’t believe it.  I’m sitting here.  On my couch, in my spot.  ESPN is on talking about the playoffs and Josh is in the other room watching the Wiggles, who I’ll formally apologize to a little later.

All of you truly amaze me with the support you’ve given me.  There were those on Twitter (which I avoided completely) I just read tweets from and Facebook clearly got me through my “trip” up to NY from NC.  Those of you who sent donations are forever in my heart and I raised enough for my plane ticket.

I booked the day I got to NY.  Paid $500 for a non-stop from Syracuse to Charlotte.  I carried on through my week bitching and grumbling because I don’t do holidays well but then my last night there I got a phone call.

I’d like to point out that I have a hometown bar I go to every time I visit.  It’s very important to me as are it’s patrons.  I had made arrangements to meet my friends there over a week before I even got there so when I found out I couldn’t go I was devastated.

US Airways called.  They canceled my flight.  My precious, two-hour, non-stop flight.  Canceled.

Talk about flip out, dear lord.  I don’t yell at people (except my kids), so I didn’t yell at the agent.  Trust me, I worked in the airline industry for eight years.  I KNOW they don’t want these flights canceled.  The last thing they want to do is rebook all of us. (more…)

This Is Why I’m Asking For Help. It’s Effing LONG.

I’m going to start by saying that any of you who know me know that I suffer from depression and bipolar disorder.  I talked about my problems on The Wii Mommies Radio Show last week and have written numerous posts about how I suffer from depression.  I actually made a depression category within this site because I just now realized just how much I talk about it.

Yesterday on Facebook and Twitter, I put a call out for people to help me out by simply donating $1 to PayPal.  I linked a new email (FlyJulieHome@Gmail.com) to my husband’s PayPal (because my accounts are in my business name and this is DEFINITELY not business).  People have been asking me why so I’m going to do that in a rather unconventional way.  I’m just going to post my Facebook updates.  That best explains it. I did not text and drive.  I was either in park or a passenger.  Please note I will add a few pics and will also make relevant notes in italics.  This is a VERY important post to me.  I have NEVER asked for help with anything.  People seem to be under the impression that I’m loaded.  I’m not.  While I do have a business, I can’t use business funds for personal reasons and my personal funds suck because the state of the economy blows ass and I have two mortgage payments.  Here is a recap of my weekend, which began Friday evening at 5PM.  I started Facebooking at 5:43PM.
