Bitchfest ’09 – Part Deux

bitch

I was planning on writing about fantasy football today, because I initially dedicated my Mondays to my Fantasy Football training stuff, but I am absolutely MISERABLE today and I’ve decided to bitch instead.  I’ve already written my Bitchfest ’09 this year, but I’m bringing y’all a round two, simply because I’m bitching and it’s still 2009.  Aren’t I a bundle of joy?

I love Thanksgiving.  I freaking LOVE it.  All year long, I look forward to the joys of stuffing my face without guilt.  I talk about it for weeks in advance.  I prep for it by finding my favorite stretchy pants and giggle in anticipation.

This Thanksgiving, I got the Swine Flu or some shit.

I doubt that’s what it was, but what the frick.  Regardless, I was sick.  Super sick.

Beyond that, I’m bipolar.  I tell everyone all the time so y’all probably know that.  I’m also menopausal, which I never thought would bother me, since I hated my uterus for making me so uncomfortable with the grudge it had against me, but I was wrong.  It bothers me.  (It gets better. This Isn't Family-Friendly, But It's FUN As Hell

resident-evil-the-darkside-chronicles-wallpaper

I know I typically review games that are suitable for children, but this one is for me.  I hate guns.  I loathe violence.  Unless there are Zombie’s involved.  Then it’s AWESOME.

When I got my hands on Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, I was thinking that it’d probably be a good game for my husband or guy friends to play. I played it as a kid (I consider anyone under 25 a kid) and  I knew my kids would never get near it, especially since they’re only four and one lol.  What I didn’t know is that I’d spend three whole days glued to my television, Wii blaster in hand, kicking some Zombie ass.

I don’t know what’s put me on the Zombie kick I’m on lately, I think it has to do with my love for the movie “Zombieland”.  Also, Zombie’s are cool.  When it comes to gaming, everyone has their favorites.  My husband loves racing games, my son Lego games (again, he’s four) and I typically lean towards the fitness games.  Until now. Fitness Friday – My EA SPORTS Active Week One Challenge Wrapup

fitness-friday-button-new

The first week of the official EA SPORTS Active 6 week challenge is over and I can report a weight loss, although some if is due to the horrible stomach virus I caught earlier in the week.  Although I had to miss two days of working out, the EA SPORTS Active More Workouts calendar allows you to alter your workout days, so I’ve basically managed to keep up with my scheduled routine.

Tuesday was the first day I didn’t feel well.  Everyone following #EASactive and the #WiiMoms on Twitter thought I was a champ because I still made it through my workout, even with a fever of 101.4, but I believe the workout made me feel better overall- for a little while, anyway.

My stomach problems increased for Wednesday and Thursday (Thanksgiving), so I couldn’t workout for obvious reasons but I managed to get up early this morning and get through my workout for today (which I had set on easy instead of my usual medium).

I can absolutely see what the next five weeks will bring me.  I think anyone who uses this product will see a physical change, but for me it’s so much more than that.  (It gets better. Click to continue reading…)

So What Do I Think Of EA SPORTS Active More Workouts?

ea sports active more workoutsI think that if you’re really looking to make a change to your life that will get you moving, in shape and constantly motivated to do better, you’ve found it with EA SPORTS Active More Workouts.

Virtual Fitness isn’t just a trend, it’s a way of life for a lot of us.  I personally don’t have the time or resources to go to a gym outside of my home and certainly can’t buy expensive equipment that would just gather dust anyway.  I turned to the Wii to help me with my health and in the past year have lost over 70 pounds.

I loved the first release of EA SPORTS Active because it was the first of it’s kind.  It’s a personal trainer in a box.  It offered up one and two player options and had a built-in 30 day challenge that I used to lose seven pounds in just a month!

Now EA SPORTS has come out with their second installment of workouts with EA SPORTS Active’s More Workouts and I love this more than anything else in the world right now.  Except my kids.  I love them tons.  They just don’t make me as skinny as this product does.
