Fitness Friday – I’ve Got A New Way To Walk

I can’t believe how virtual fitness has changed my life.

First, the Wii Fit lost me 60 pounds. Then EA SPORTS Active took me down another 10. Now, because I’m recovering from an operation and can’t use those products for another 6 weeks,  so I’m using my Nintendo DS and Personal Trainer: Walking to stay fit and healthy.

When I first started my #MeVDog challenge (that’s the Twitter hashtag to follow the challenge), I didn’t realize the impact it would have on my family. I expected to be neck-in-neck with my lazy dog but have found that since my husband wanted in on the competition as well, I’m in the process of getting trampled on by the two of them with all of their “walking” and “paying attention to each other”. Way to go, Ryan. Make me look bad.

To top things off, my partners Jenn and Sarah from the Wii Mommies website and forums decided THEY want in! Now we have the #wiimoms hashtag for everyone in the world who uses Personal Trainer: Walking to use when they tweet their info (#PTWalking) and if you search that hashtag, you can clearly read that I, the idea behind all these challenges, am LOSING! (It gets better. Click to continue reading…)

Mexico Part Duh…I mean Dos…

Oh, so you liked my little adventure in the rain forest, huh? Well, that was just a short period of time in what seemed like an endless vacation.

I’m going to do my best to recount the rest of that adventure but like I stated before, I put the “art” in party so if you’re going to judge me and give me anxiety attacks, bugger off.

All I can do is flash forward to being lost in a sea of Mexican’s at their Mardi Gras-like celebration. I don’t remember the ride back to my friend’s apartment after leaving the island we found, I don’t remember the decision that was made (by me?) to go out to party, I just remember being in a sea of happy faces.

From those faces shined another familiar face. It was a beaming red-haired guy we met on our flight down from NY to wherever the hell I was in Mexico. Being that we were the only American’s in the entire town, it was fairly easy to spot one another.

So we drank. We smoked. I was Mary, er, I mean Merry. (It gets better. Click to continue reading…)

Random Tuesday Thoughts – Swimming in Gravy

randomtuesday

I’d say my uterus hurts, but I guess it’s the space where it was that’s annoying me. I pick up my children much more often than I should, but I do it while I think about how I probably shouldn’t, so I think that qualifies as not doing it.

Speaking of McFLy, I’ve seemingly hopped into my Delorian and have taken my personality back to when I was 18, only now I don’t get carded. I missed all my friends and being back in my hometown is both awesome and exhausting. (It gets better. Click to continue reading…)
